AIFM members gathered for the twenty-first General meeting of the Association, in Antalya, Turkey from April 27th to 30th, 2016. It was also an opportunity to come back over 2015 and prepare for 2016.

The General meeting, coupled to the Board of Directors, was held at the Porto Bell Hotel, in Antalya, Turkey, on April 28th, in the presence of some of the directors of the association and three members. The General meeting and the Board allowed for discussions decisive for the future of AIFM, including talks about internal and external communication issues. Reflections on finding new projects were also conducted. Two new members have joined the Board: Annita Logotheti and Igor Kolar are now following communication issues within AIFM.

The present members of AIFM visited the next day the Köprülü Cypress Forest site. This site is located in the Köprülü National Park, one hour away from Antalya. The visit was organized by Nesat Erkan, from South Anatolia Forest Research Institute. This natural 300 ha Cypress forest is a site of the MEDFORVAL "Network of forested areas of high ecological value" project.
