MEDFORVAL project launching

The MEDFORVAL project, network forested areas of high ecological value, officially started on March 1st 2015, following the signing of the agreement between AIFM and MAVA Foundation for nature.
 
 
This project will last 3 years from March 2015 to February 2018. It aims to help collaborate practitioners and policy makers from different sectors of the Mediterranean Basin in concrete measures to protect, manage or restore the ecological values ​​of their respective sites, by setting network. AIFM is the bearer of this project, with support from MAVA Foundation and Pedro Regato, Consultant in technical support.
 
 
A first information meeting was held in parallel to the IV Mediterranean Forest Week, Friday, March 20th, 2015 in Barcelona (Spain).
 
 
The start-up workshop will be held from July 20th to 24th, 2015 in Martigues (France), and will be the occasion to meet future network members, steering committee and advisory committee.
