Our areas of expertise
AIFM is working in several areas to enhance the value of Mediterranean forests:
- Developing sustainable forest-based industries: We support the creation of industries for the production of wood, non-wood forest products and renewable energy, by promoting short supply chains and certification.
- Promoting ecotourism: We encourage the development of ecotourism by creating walking routes and educational trails and by promoting the natural and cultural heritage of the forests.
- Supporting innovation: We support innovative projects aimed at developing new forest-related products and services, such as biomass recovery or the creation of medicinal plant-based cosmetics.
