The International Association for Mediterranean Forests (AIFM) is strengthening its team and opening two new full-time positions to be filled as soon as possible in Marseille, as part of the upcoming launch of three major projects: RENFORCE, SIMMER and RESCOM 2.

Three new projects to strengthen Mediterranean forest resilience

After several months of preparation, AIFM is entering a new phase of action in the Mediterranean region with the upcoming launch of three complementary initiatives:

• RENFORCE and SIMMER are projects funded under the Interreg Euro-MED and Interreg NEXT MED program. They aim to improve governance and support forest adaptation to climate change at the Mediterranean scale, through the exchange of best practices and the development of joint tools and synergies.
• RESCOM 2 is an extension of the RESCOM project launched in 2023 in Tunisia. It will now be implemented on two pilot sites: one in Tunisia, and a new site in Morocco managed by AIFM.

These projects require strong technical, administrative and financial coordination, as well as enhanced international cooperation.

Two new job opportunities in Marseille

To support this dynamic, AIFM is opening two full-time permanent positions (CDI), based at its headquarters in Marseille (2nd arrondissement):

🔹 Project Officer

You will coordinate the implementation of the RENFORCE and SIMMER projects, and contribute to the coordination of RESCOM 2 alongside the AIFM Director. Your tasks will include monitoring activities and budgets, reporting, and organizing project-related events.

For both positions, we are looking for dedicated, organized and committed professionals with experience in international cooperation, project management and a keen interest in forest conservation and Mediterranean ecosystems.
